Legal Agreement

These Terms of Service ('Terms') govern your use of the website and legal services provided by Sandra Clavijo Law Office ('we', 'our' or 'the Firm'). By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you disagree with any part of these terms, you should not use our services. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and our law firm.

Attorney-Client Relationship

An attorney-client relationship is established only through a written representation agreement signed by both parties. Mere communication with us, visiting our website, or submitting information does not create an attorney-client relationship.

Until an attorney-client relationship is formally established, we have no obligation of confidentiality regarding information you provide to us, and we do not act as your attorney.

Scope of Services

Our legal services are limited to matters of United States immigration law. Specific services include:

  • Consultation and advice on visa options and immigration status.
  • Preparation and filing of petitions and applications with USCIS and other government agencies.
  • Representation at immigration-related interviews and hearings.
  • Assistance with status adjustments, naturalizations, and other immigration processes.

Fees and Payment

Fees for legal services are determined on a case-by-case basis and are specified in a written fee agreement. Fees may be fixed (flat rate) or hourly, depending on the nature of the service.

In addition to our professional fees, the client is responsible for paying all government fees, translation costs, courier costs, and other expenses directly related to their case. Failure to pay promptly may result in suspension or termination of services.

Client Responsibilities

As a client, you have the following responsibilities:

  • Provide complete, accurate, and truthful information at all times.
  • Respond promptly to requests for information and documentation.
  • Inform us immediately of any changes in your circumstances that may affect your case.
  • Comply with all deadlines and requirements established by government agencies and our firm.

No Guarantees of Results

Immigration processes are complex and subject to the discretion of government agencies. We cannot guarantee specific results in any immigration case.

IMPORTANT: The outcome of any immigration case depends on factors beyond our control, including changing immigration policies, decisions of immigration officers, and the client's individual circumstances. Past results do not guarantee similar results in future cases.

Confidentiality

Once the attorney-client relationship is established, all information you provide to us will be treated with strict confidentiality in accordance with professional ethical rules and attorney-client privilege laws. We will not disclose your information without your consent, except where required by law.

Communication

We strive to respond to client communications within a reasonable time, generally within 1-2 business days. Urgent communications should be clearly indicated as such.

We accept communication by email, telephone, and WhatsApp. However, for important confidential matters, we recommend in-person communication or secure means.

Termination of Services

Either party may terminate the attorney-client relationship at any time, subject to the attorney's ethical obligations to protect the client's interests. Termination must be in writing.

In the event of termination, the client is responsible for paying all fees and expenses incurred up to the date of termination. We will provide all client documents and cooperate in the transition to a new attorney if requested.

Limitation of Liability

Our liability is limited to the provision of professional legal services in accordance with applicable standards of the legal profession. We will not be liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to our services.

Dispute Resolution

Any dispute arising from these Terms or from the services provided will be resolved through binding arbitration in the state of Florida, in accordance with commercial arbitration rules. Florida law will govern these Terms.

Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will take effect immediately upon posting on our website. Your continued use of our services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.
