Data deletion: how to ask us to delete your information

If you contacted Law Offices of Sandra Clavijo through Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, WhatsApp or a lead ad form, you can ask us at any time to delete the data we received through those channels. This page explains what that data is and how to make the request.

What data does the firm receive through Meta?

When someone messages the firm or responds to one of its ads on Meta platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, WhatsApp and lead ad forms), the firm may receive:

  • Your name.
  • Your public profile information.
  • Your phone number.
  • Your email address.
  • The messages you send us.
  • Your answers to a lead ad form.

That information is stored in the firm’s internal client management system, where the team uses it to respond to your inquiry.

How do you request deletion?

By email. These are the steps, from your request to our confirmation:

  1. Email the firm

Write to info@sclavijo.com with the subject line “Data deletion”.

  2. Tell us how to find your data

Include your name, the phone number or email address you used to contact the firm, and the platform you used: Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, WhatsApp or a lead ad form.

  3. We confirm we received it

The team replies to confirm it received your request.

  4. We confirm in writing when it is done

Once the deletion is complete, we confirm it in writing.

Is any information kept?

Only what the law or the professional rules that govern attorneys require the firm to keep. This may happen, for example, if you hired the firm and there is a file for your case.

If that applies to you, we will let you know when we reply to your request.

This request covers the data the firm holds. Whatever remains in your own Meta apps and accounts, such as the history of a conversation, is managed from there.

How do you remove the app’s access from Facebook?

If you ever connected your Facebook account to the firm’s app on Meta, you can remove its access yourself:

  1. Open your Facebook account settings.

  2. Find the section that lists the apps and websites connected to your account. Its name and location change between versions of Facebook; it is usually among the security options.

  3. Select the firm’s app and remove it.

Removing the app cuts off its access to your account from that moment on, but it does not delete the data the firm already received. For that, send the request by email.
